1.Where did you first meet your husband?
It was during the summer of 2003. We were in the same bowling class at BYU-Idaho. After we had the bowling class together we didn’t see each other for a year and after my friends and I moved to the Ridge and we happened to be in the same ward and became good friends.
2.What was the first thing you said to your husband?
I don’t remember. I was really shy back then, Mike would agree with me. I didn’t really say much, but my first impression wasn’t very good. I thought he was khaki and arrogant, which turned out to be wrong. I’m glad I didn’t stick with my first impression.
3.Where was your first date?
Our official first day was a dinner at New York Burrito and a movie. We saw National Treasure.
4.Where was your first kiss?
Every girl should remember… I don’t remember what we did on our second date but when he dropped me off at my apartment, he kissed me.
5.Did you have a long or short engagement/courtship?
We were engaged in November 2005 and got married in March 2006.
6.Where did you get engaged?
At the bowling allies in Rexburg. We went bowling every Wednesday night. He proposed me on a Friday night. He said we are going to go bowling since his roommates and his friends all wanted to go. Turned out to be it was for a proposal. Mike was acting very weird and nervous. He wouldn’t really look at me or talk to me. It was a surprise when I found out. It was a very memorable night. After I got back to my apartment, his friends decorated my room with roses and a bowling pin on my bed.
7.Where did you get married?
San Diego, California
8.How did the reception go?
Good. We were in line pretty much most of the time. We actually had our first dance at the reception. The cake was good. We were very tired. It was a long day.
9.How was the honeymoon?
Great! I wished we had more time to stay in San Francisco. I’ve always wanted to go to SF so Mike decided to take me there. It rained most of the time but it was a lot of fun. I can't wait to go back.
and I’d like to hear from anyone who’s willing to share their story.
