We are going to miss living in San Diego, being so close to the ocean and nice weather all year round. Mike's work is transfering Mike up to a different military base, Fort Irwin, for another project. It's in the middle of NO WHERE. We have been looking for a house in Oak Hills, which we are very excited about. We put an offer on a house we liked, so we are just waiting to hear back. It'll be over an hour each way for Mike to commute to work but he'll only have to work for 4 days a week (10 hours a day). We get to have him home for three days! We will be only little over an hour to LA and two hours to San Diego, so we can't complain. We are only going to be in Oak Hills (Victorville/Apple Valley) for three years as of now and then come back to San Diego for another project. Who knows what will happen but that's the plan for now.

i hope you get the house you liked! we just made an offer on a house in blackfoot too! since zac has school for at least 3 more years, we figured that might be worth it. and since we are expecting our first, we need to move anyway... but i miss california... it just snowed here... it is still freezing!!!
I am sorry you have to move to the desert, but at least you can have a house! Good luck with the move and your home purchase. Hope you guys are having fun..and I'm glad Mike will be able to be around more. Still think little Abbie is sooo cute!
