Here are the things we did:
3/20 Fri.- We shopped all day. We went to a Disney store (the store was closing), Nordstrom Rack, IKEA, and Mitsuwa (Japanese Market). They had never been to Ikea and they loved it. It is a really fun place to go and get ideas for rooms.
3/21 Sat.- Mike's mom got a phone call that Grandma Ballard (her mother) passed away that early morning. We knew it was going to happen sometime but was hoping it would have been after the spring break. I'm just glad that we have the gospel, to know that we will see her again in the after life, and she's in a better place. I took Amanda (my sister-in-law) to get her hair cut in the morning. In the afternoon, we went to Birch Aquarium, and then to La Jolla Cove and played in the tide pools. We took family pictures at the cove. I'm going to post it as soon as I get a copy of the pictures from Amanda. She's very talented. She took lots of pictures for us. 3/22 Sun.- We went to church and relaxed the rest of the day.
3/23 Mon.- We went to Sea World. Mike was able to take off two days of work so he came with us. We can never get sick of going to the Sea World. It's just so fun.3/24 Tues. - We went to La Jolla beach in the afternoon. The water was pretty nice so Mike and Amanda went in and body boarded. Abbie was scared to go into the water but she got used to it after a while so we were able to play in the ocean.
3/25 Wed. - We went to Coronado Island. Mike had to work so he couldn't join us but we had lots of fun going to the beach for a couple of hours. We walked by Hotel Del Coronado and went to different shops. I have been there but never really did any touristy stuff so it was fun.3/26 Thurs.- Before they had to leave, we went to Sea World again and watched shows. Abbie loves Shamu (killer whales) so Mike and I decided to get her a Shamu stuffed animal. She drags it around all day and sleeps with it.
It was fun to have them over. Since we moved to San Diego, we haven't been able to see them as much as we used to so it was really nice to see them. We'll post pictures up when we get a copy of the pictures.
