So much to do, so little time

Abbie also started Joy School today. My friends and I decided to do it once a week (every Monday) on top of the preschool (Tues/Thurs). We wanted the kids to get experiences and learn so we'll see how it goes. It is nice to have a break and to catch up while Abbie is gone but I'm still trying to get used to not having her around. Abbie's loving going to school. We told her that she needed to know how to spell her name, know the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, etc before she went to school and she worked hard with me and Mike. Now she can write her name except for "b". She can say it in order too. She is always saying, "my name spells A-B-B-I-E!" She likes to makes us proud. She loves to learn. I hope this will continue for the rest of her childhood and more.
Abbie loves to play on the computer. We limit her time each day so she doesn't get addicted... anyway, her favorite is www.starfall.com. I wasn't sure if I wanted to let her play at a young age but I'm impressed with this website. She's learning not only from the website but how to use the computer. I didn't even learn to use the computer until I went to high school and that was old school stuff.. lol.
Her favorite thing to learn right now is from "The Human Body Book" we got from Costco. It is an awesome book.

She likes to point to her body and tells us where her lungs, heart, stomach, intestines, liver, kidney, etc are. oh, can't forget about her "veins and blood vessels" that she likes to tell me about all the time. I was amazed at how much she learns so fast and remembers. She asks us to tell her about how the body works all the time. Okay, it's mostly taught by Mike. I have to read the book before I explain it to Abbie but with Mike he already knows so she learns so much more and with little time with him compare to me. It's been a routine to read the body book after we read the scriptures every night before bed (and any chances Abbie gets). We hope she will be a doctor someday. Her favorite thing to do is to perform an operation on all of her stuffed animals (I wonder where she learned that from). It's really cute. (I try to tape it every time but she likes to stop and look at the camera. She loves to get her pictures taken.) I felt and learned so much how important the motherhood really is and that I have the responsibility as a mother to teach and nurture Abbie at home. The kids do learn so much from home then anywhere else. I feel so much joy in being a mother and a wife. It makes me happy when Abbie also remembers about Jesus and the little she can understand about the gospel. She likes to always share about what she knows.

As for me it's already been a busy month with driving to and from Abbie's preschool and joy school, YW calling (didn't realize how much time and preparation it took to be in the YW), getting ready for the baby (still don't know the gender... sigh), babysitting, etc. I feel little overwhelmed but it'll be a good practice before the baby comes. I hope I can be a super mom like my friends and family. I think the rest of the year will come really soon... I know my life is going to get busier each month. Mike and I made a goal to go to the temple at least once or twice a month to the temple this year and we've seen many blessings in our lives since we made and kept our goal. I am truly blessed by the Lord and I know he is watching over all of us and answers our prayers.
