finally!

We finally got a camera! Mike got it for me a couple of weeks ago and now I can start taking pictures again. It seems like Abbie is growing up too fast.
Anyway, I just want to update a little. Mike's parents and his sister came down to visit us last month and brought us the piano we bought from them. I am not very good at it but I love playing piano, which not many people know that I play. Now Abbie likes to play piano with me, well she likes to play it by herself. Since it's an electric piano, Abbie loves to push different instruments and listen to the sound of it. Now she knows the name of the instruments. Her favorite it the trumpet. She loves to listen to it over and over again. I can't wait until she lets me teach her. I am so happy we got it.
Here's Abbie playing with piano.

Mike's been working hard on the house. He laid half of the wood floor in the living room, which you can see it in the picture. He also laid the front door (4'by4') with tile. I will have to take pictures of it. He is going to bring out the wood floor all the way to the den and we want to put french doors in between. It's going to look so good! I am so excited and I am so lucky to have a great guy who does all the hard work.
We had a great time having Mike's family over. I realized after that we didn't take any pictures while they were here. I wanted to take pictures of Abbie with her grandparents. Well I guess we'll have to wait until Justin, Mike's brother, comes back from his mission on January 27, 2010. I can't believe he's coming home soon. We are very excited to go to his home coming.
oh and here's our side pool that Mike built:

just kidding, I wish. It would be so nice to have a pool like the Hamptons in our ward. Brother Hampton builds pools and this is one that he did for his backyard. IT was so much fun! Abbie didn't want to go down on the kid slide... she wanted to go up on top and go down the big slide (it was about 40 ft high), so I took her down the slide. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go but she did so I went down with her and actually it was really fun. Abbie loved it. Everyone kept calling her "little fish" because she kept swimming without my help and she's only 2. The sisters in our ward were very impressed. She just kept diving and swimming around the deep areas. She's so natural. She was upset when we had to leave early for her doctor's appointment. I can't wait to put her back in swimming lessons.
Here are some pictures of Abbie when she knows I'm busy:

Now she knows how to open the fridge so when I am busy cleaning, she likes to sneak into the fridge and find something that she wants to eat...sugar!
She has so much personality, sometimes I can't keep up with her. She knows how to take her clothes on and off and of course that means diapers/underwear too. She picked out her own underwear, which she chose Elmo and his friend Abby. She is getting so much better at potty training. I can't wait until she is fully trained. It's been a long journey and I am so ready for her to be potty trained. anyway, the other day, I caught her sleeping in her swimsuit. Right after I put her down for a nap, she took her clothes and her diaper off and changed into her swimsuit.

I'm so glad she didn't have an accident. But this is something I expect when I wake her up from her naps. She doesn't like to keep her clothes and diaper on... and it also happened at my sister, Jessica's. Abbie slept over at her cousin, Ian's house and the next day, she took her poopy diaper off (I'm glad it was hard and not runny) sat it next to the toilet, took her clothes off and was running around naked. My sister agreed with me that she is a lot of fun but handful too.
Abbie is a big helper. She likes to help out with anything!! Especially with her daddy.

I found some pictures from San Diego:

This is typical. She loves to play with daddy's tools. Now that he has his shop, Abbie is with him in his shop most of the time.

Mike and I received new callings. I am the compassionate service leader and Mike is the 2ND counselor in the elders quorum. Unlike our old calling, assistant librarians, we are going to be busier.

Yay for a new camera!! Abbie fits right in with my girls! They both went through that clothes off stage, and diaper off stage. I can handle the clothes off, but the diaper is just too much! I am crossing my fingers that Autumn will at least not go through the diaper off stage! Looks like you guys are having a great time over there!
